One of the largest financial conglomerates of the world, HSBC, has made the world's first trade and financial transaction on the blockchain. HSBC issued a letter of credit for the American firm Cargill, which deals with the delivery of soybeans to Malaysia from Argentina. The recipient of the letter of credit was the Dutch bank ING. According to Vivek Ramachandran, head of the innovation department at HSBC, this operation took only one day, whereas earlier it took up to 10 working days to deliver and sign documents for such an operation. The transaction involved Corda blockchain, which was developed by the U.S. company R3.

At the Allen Institute in America, an artificial intelligence was created that can recreate the shape of any cell in the human body. Only its surface image is needed to do this. The artificial intelligence, Allen Integrated Cell, will recreate a 3D form which will help to better diagnose diseases. At the moment the institute is engaged in research of healthy stem cells, as well as those that have not yet become muscle. Scientists plan to monitor the processes of healthy cells, comparing them with those affected by various diseases, including cancer. In the future, this knowledge will help to diagnose diseases at the earliest stages.

In 2020, NASA will send a helicopter to Mars. The helicopter weighing no more than 2 kg will work on solar energy. Because of the characteristics of the atmosphere of Mars, the helicopter blades will rotate in two opposite directions simultaneously. The flights are designed for a distance of 500 meters every day, for just 2-3 minutes. During this time, the Mars Helicopter will be able to transmit information about the rocky terrain and fly where rovers are unable to go. Thus, scientists will have completely new information about the landscape which will supplement their knowledge of the planet.
