Several campaigns have already been successfully completed on the Platin Hero crowdfunding platform, although it’s only been active for several months – including a charity campaign to support Milana Zvyagintseva and a fundraiser for PLATINCOIN partner Svetlana Zueva.

A campaign in support of Milana Zvyagintseva from Mikhailosk, Stavropol Territory (Russia) became the first project to successfully reach its funding goal. In just one week, 203 hero sponsors froze a total of 25 734 PLC, which made it possible for the family to receive financial support of 25 thousand euros. 

Milana’s story

Milana is 4.5 years old, she weighs 11 kilograms and practically doesn’t speak. She’s been diagnosed with hypoxic-ischemic lesions of the central nervous system. In this condition, the child’s development is almost completely stunted: development of speech and motor skills is delayed, troubles with fine motor skills, damage to the cranial nerves.

Milana needs regular checkups and rehabilitation treatments to support her life and health. Each treatment costs at least 300 000 rubles ($4 000). The family lives on the father’s single salary and the child’s small disability pension, which has forced the Zvyagintsev family to constantly take out loans to fund Milana’s treatments and rehabilitation. Appeals to charity funds didn’t bring any results – the family was refused assistance many times.

A miracle on Platin Hero 

The Zvyagintsev family has known PLATINCOIN founder Alex Reinhardt for a while: Alex has helped the family with raising funds to rehabilitate their daughter several times. When the Platin Hero platform was launched, Alex invited the family to post their charity campaign on the platform. The family set a campaign target of 25 000 PLC — this amount would be enough to finance a serious course of rehabilitation treatments and the purchase of special equipment.

It only took one week  for our Platin Hero heroes to reach this goal! At present, the family has already received their money, and they are preparing for a new rehabilitation treatment. These funds will also be used to purchase personal corsets and orthopedic shoes for Milana.

‘When we heard that the campaign was completed, we were all shocked. I kept crying because I couldn’t believe it. I am so grateful for your help. My daughter will finally be able to run, pick things up with her hands, and speak,’ says Milana’s mother, Olesya Zvyagintseva.
